About CCNA Voice certification
CCNA Voice is a new Associate Level certification designed to build upon the CCNA certification and as a prerequisite for the CCVP - Cisco Certified Voice Professional certification. The Cisco CCNA Voice certification confirms an individual has the required skill set for specialized job roles in voice technologies such as voice administrator, voice engineer, and voice manager. It validates skills in VoIP technologies such as IP PBX, IP telephony, handset, call control, and voicemail solutions. Candidates also get exposure to the Cisco Unified Communications architecture and design covering mobility, presence, and TelePresence applications. Prior to obtaining CCNA Voice, an individual must hold and active CCNA certification.

Job Roles for CCNA Voice certified professionals
With a CCNA Voice certification, a network professional demonstrates the skills required to perform baseline installation, operating, and maintenance on Cisco VoIP solutions, particularly the Smart Business Communications System from 8-250 lines. The CCNA Voice curriculum includes VoIP technologies such as IP PBX, IP telephony, handset, call control, and voicemail solutions. Candidates also get exposure to the Cisco Unified Communications architecture and design covering mobility, presence, and TelePresence applications.
CCNA Voice requirements
Prerequisite: Valid CCNA Certification. In addition to a valid CCNA certification, the CCNA Voice certification requires one additional exam (640-460).
