About CCNA Wireless certification

CCNA Wireless is a new Associate Level certification designed to build upon the CCNA certification and provide an entry path to wireless networking careers. The Cisco CCNA Wireless certification recognizes the critical importance of the professionals who support wireless LANs, including networking administrators, wireless support specialists, and WLAN project managers. Prior to obtaining CCNA Wireless, an individual must hold and active CCNA certification.

With a CCNA Wireless certification, network professionals can support a basic wireless network on a Cisco WLAN in a SMB to enterprise network. The CCNA Wireless curriculum includes information and practice activities to prepare them for configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting basic tasks of a Cisco WLAN in SMB and Enterprise networks.

CCNA Wireless requirements

Prerequisite: Valid CCNA Certification. In addition to a valid CCNA certification, the CCNA Wireless certification requires one additional exam (640-721).
